I started to discover the endless pleasures and adventures of travels to the National Parks, game reserves and nature marvels of this world in 1982 on a first trip to Amboseli and Tsavo National Park in Kenya. Since then I have visited not only most African countries, but also India, Costa Rica, Madagascar, USA, Canada and many other places, on more than 30 safaris.

Although „Safari“ is an expression mainly used for journeys into the African bush, it is a Kiswahili word meaning simply „voyage“. I use it in the larger sense to designate all my trips into the nature, making wildlife photography, observing animal behaviour and studying the flora and fauna on all continents. For many of these safaris I have acted as travel guide and many of them have been designed and organised by me.

Under the name of turaco nature travel I propose since 1995 tailor made safari itineraries for individuals and very small groups. My wildlife pictures are published mostly in advertising business and limited publications. A first wildlife photography book is due to be published in 2012.
